Plenty of momentum!

There is anticipation and excitement right now within our alumni community, a sense of momentum that defines our organization and its mandate.

Acadia announced recently that Dr. Rod Morrison has joined our campus community as Vice-President of Advancement, effective July 1. Spring Reunion and Convocation are both less than a month away and the Acadia Recreation Reunion and Conference is set for May 23-27.

It’s a wonderful time of year and I am excited at the prospect of welcoming approximately 900 Acadia graduates as new alumni. The promise with which you began your university careers has been fulfilled and the stories you take with you to share with others will recommend your academic and social experience at Acadia to prospective students in Canada and abroad.

As Associated Alumni, we have an important role to play in promoting Acadia’s unique potential and tremendous ability to deliver an increasingly rare educational experience for today’s students and strengthen our reputation as one of Canada’s leading post-secondary institutions.

Our monthly e-newsletter continues to keep you current on all things Acadia and the Bulletin, our first-rate alumni magazine, which provides updates and profiles of people here on campus and in our alumni community around the world, celebrates its centenary this year. We have a special edition in the works and look forward to sharing it with you soon!

We wish you well and are here to help facilitate your transition from student to alumnus. Stay in touch, and join more than 27,000 other engaged alumni who serve as ambassadors for the University that understand, appreciate and extol the virtues of the richly unique Acadia experience.

Warm regards,

Ian V. Murray
