Great expectations in 2012!

Happy New Year! Welcome to 2012, which promises to be another outstanding year for Acadia University and its Associated Alumni.

We enjoyed a wonderful 2011 and look forward to building on our momentum. I’m proud to report that great things are in the offing. We have a tremendous roster of reunions and events lined up, including a Bermuda Alumni Reception next month, our annual Florida Luncheon March 20th, the 10th Anniversary of the Alumni Gala Dinner in Halifax April 21st, Spring Reunion and Convocation May 11-14, and the Acadia Recreation Reunion and Conference May 23-27 to name only a few.

Our monthly e-newsletter will keep you current on all things Acadia and the Bulletin, our first-rate alumni magazine, which provides updates and profiles of people here on campus and in our alumni community around the world, will celebrate its centenary this year. We have a special edition in the works and can’t wait to share it with you!

Our goal is to applaud those who represent Acadia and its commitment to deliver an outstanding educational experience that distinguishes the University as one of Canada’s premier post-secondary institutions. In my role as Executive Director, Alumni Affairs and Advancement Strategy, I have witnessed first-hand just how powerful and formative the Acadia experience is for our students, and why our alumni remain so connected to both the University and their classmates.

With this in mind, we hope you use these pages to stay up-to-date on all of the exciting new developments and find information on the many events and reunions offered to alumni.

Stay in touch, and join more than 27,000 other engaged alumni who serve as ambassadors for the University that understand, appreciate and extol the virtues of the richly unique Acadia experience.

Warm regards,

Ian V. Murray
